The short version
ZeroNote collects no personal data. The app has no internet access, so your notes stay encrypted on your device and never reach us or anyone else.
This policy applies to the ZeroNote app for Android and iOS, published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by Kimala labs ("we", "us").
Information we collect
None. ZeroNote does not collect, store on any server, share or sell any information about you. Specifically, the app has:
- No accounts, sign-up, email or phone number
- No analytics, usage tracking or in-app crash reporting
- No ads and no advertising identifiers
- No third-party SDKs or libraries that collect data
- No sharing of data with anyone, because there is no data to share
Your notes
Everything you write in ZeroNote is stored only in the app's private storage on your device, encrypted.
- We never receive a copy of your notes, so we cannot read, recover, disclose or hand them over to anyone.
- Your notes are not included in Android or iOS automatic cloud backups.
- If you copy, share or export a note to another app, that app's own privacy policy applies to what you send it.
- If you lose access to the app's lock, we cannot unlock or recover your notes for you.
App permissions
ZeroNote does not request internet access permissions, so it cannot send or receive data over any network. You can confirm this in the app permissions shown on its store listings.
If you use biometric unlock (such as fingerprint, Face ID, or face unlock), your device checks your biometrics locally. ZeroNote only receives a pass or fail result and never sees your biometric data.
App Stores and OS Platform Services
ZeroNote does not include any third-party services or SDKs from Google, Apple, or others.
- Purchase: ZeroNote is a paid app with no in-app purchases. You pay once on Google Play or the Apple App Store before installing, subject to the respective store's terms and privacy policy. The app itself never handles payments, and we never see your payment details.
- No crash reporting: ZeroNote contains no crash-reporting or diagnostics tools, such as Crashlytics, and never sends crash data anywhere.
Data retention and deletion
Your notes stay on your device until you delete them. You are fully in control:
- Delete any note inside the app.
- Uninstall ZeroNote, or clear its storage in your device settings, to permanently remove all of its data.
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to request, export or delete on our side.
Children's privacy
ZeroNote does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 or under the minimum age set by the law where they live.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If ZeroNote ever changes how it handles data, we will update this policy before that change takes effect.
